Laura McManus

Laura McManus has worked at TC Young for 16 years and joined TC Young as a secretary. Over the years, Laura has gained a wide range of experience across various departments in the firm.  She assists clients with the preparation of Wills, Power of Attorney deeds, Trust and executry administration.

Laura initially provided a wide range of secretarial support to the team. Thereafter, she moved into the area of preparing Wills, Power of Attorneys and estate administration, providing specific support to Isabel Ewing, Alison Hempsey and other solicitors and fee earners within the department.  In particular, Laura has extensive experience speaking with clients on the phone and understanding their needs and requirements.

In 2016, she began the CLT Paralegal Course in Wills, Trusts and Executries, which is completed while students are working full time. Laura passed her exam in August 2018 and took on the role as the Private Client Trainee Paralegal in October 2018. She officially qualified as a Paralegal and obtained her Law Society Accredited status in October 2019. 

Laura can assist clients with the preparation of Wills, Power of Attorney deeds, Trust and executry administration (from beginning to end). She has experience dealing with bereaved families and friends and can assist clients in navigating the legalities of estate administration, while sensitive to the fact that they are still grieving.
