Bio

Sarah Jamieson is a Senior Solicitor and Notary Public in our Private Client department, based in Edinburgh. Sarah completed both her undergraduate Law Degree and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Dundee.

Sarah has been with TC Young since 2019 where she started as a trainee and she qualified as a solicitor in September 2021. As part of our Private Client team (Edinburgh) she regularly deals with residential property matters such as purchases and sales, alongside more traditional matters such as Wills, Powers of Attorney and dealing with a deceased persons estate (executries).

Sarah works closely with head of department, Isabel Ewing, and is a key member of the both the Glasgow and Edinburgh teams.

Sarah has experience of dealing with residential conveyancing transactions of all types of property across Scotland. She also assists clients in transfers of title, remortgages and regularly deals with discharges of Standard Securities.

Her knowledge of both property and private client matters allows Sarah to be able to deal with executries from start to finish where a house sale is also involved. This provides comfort and continuity to many of our clients.

Sarah provides much needed services with a calm and comforting manner and is always happy to assist.

Outside of TC Young, Sarah has been part of the Scottish Women’s Senior Hockey team since 2016, having attained over 80 caps for Scotland. When not on the hockey pitch or in the office, she enjoys climbing munros, spending time with friends and family.

“We used TC Young to buy and sell a house in Edinburgh. Sarah was just excellent.

She is extremely experienced, gave a real sense of being in safe hands; highly knowledgeable. Moved very quickly (much quicker than the other solicitors) and responded to emails the same day if not immediately.”
