Bio

Rebekah Hanvey is a Solicitor at TC Young specialising in property work. She obtained her LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Glasgow before joining the firm in 2022.

Since joining the firm, Rebekah has worked exclusively within the Property department assisting in all facets of property work and commercial conveyancing from reviewing title deeds to assisting with land acquisitions.

Rebekah is skilled in interpreting title deeds and the Tenements (Scotland) Act 2004 including the Tenement Management Scheme. She has vast experience in carrying out corrective conveyancing and drafting and submitting applications to the Lands Tribunal for Scotland to resolve any title related issues. She is also skilled in completing Voluntary Registration applications to move properties from the Sasine Register to the Land Register of Scotland.

In addition, Rebekah assists clients with large scale financing work, ensuring that lenders’ requirements have been met and properties are suitable for securing. Rebekah also has experience in negotiating and drafting Deeds of Servitude and Wayleaves with utility providers and other third parties.

Rebekah is experienced in commercial leasing and assists clients with the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases, preparation of minutes of extension/vacation, assignations and notices to quit.

Rebekah assists clients in New Supply Shared Equity (NSSE) transactions, ensuring that all requirements of the Scottish Ministers have been met and properties can be efficiently sold through the NSSE scheme.

Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys running and socialising with friends.
