Bio
Olivia Llewellyn Smith is currently a trainee solicitor in our Private Client team, and is based in our Edinburgh Office. She began her career with TC Young in June 2023, where she started as a summer placement student. She assists Sarah Jamieson, Senior Solicitor, in all matters relating to Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, and Residential Conveyancing.
Olivia graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2022, with a degree in Scots Law LLB with Honours. She then attended the University of Edinburgh, where she gained her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2023.
From her year as an administration assistant, prior to beginning her Traineeship, Olivia has gained a vast range of knowledge across both Conveyancing and Private Client matters. She has been involved with various purchases and sales of residential property, is experienced in handling discharges of Standard Securities where mortgages have been paid off, and comfortable assisting with traditional areas of Private Client including the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, and dealing with a deceased person’s estate. Olivia is always happy to assist with new client enquiries and is looking forward to expanding her experience as she progresses through her traineeship with Private Client Edinburgh.
Olivia regularly commutes to our Glasgow Office where she works closely with the head of the Private Client department, Isabel Ewing.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys going to the gym and travelling abroad to run half marathons.
