Bio

Lynne Collingham is a Partner and Head of our Family Law Department in Glasgow.

Lynne is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in both family law and child law. 

Lynne qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and has over 30 years’ experience as a family lawyer. She provides expert advice in relation to a wide range of family law matters including separation and divorce, domestic abuse, financial support (maintenance) for spouses and children, pre and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, cohabitation claims on separation or death, and all child law matters including contact and residence disputes, relocation, children’s hearings, social work referrals and adoption and permanence cases.

Lynne undertakes both private and legal aid work.

Lynne is regularly appointed by various courts to act as Child Welfare Reporter or Curator in disputed cases involving the welfare of children, and as Reporting Officer and Curator in adoption and permanence cases.

She also provides expert opinions on matters of family and child law and delivers seminars and training to colleagues and other professionals.

Lynne strives to achieve the best possible outcome for each individual client’s needs and to ensure that all clients feel listened to and supported. She recognises the importance of good communication and negotiation in family disputes. In 2004 she qualified as a collaborative family lawyer. When court action is necessary, Lynne is pragmatic, knowledgeable and always well prepared, and she is highly respected by both colleagues and sheriffs.

Lynne is a member of the Family Law Association in Scotland, the Glasgow Bar Association, and Consensus Scotland. She is also a member of the Law Society of Scotland Child Law Accreditation Panel and is a civil and children’s legal aid peer reviewer.
