Bio
Laura McManus is a Wills, trust and executry paralegal, and has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland and a Member of the Scottish Paralegal Association since October 2019.
Laura joined TC Young in March 2007 as a secretary and over following years gained a wide range of experience across various departments. Laura moved permanently to the Private Client Team in 2012, where she developed her skills in preparing Wills, Power of Attorneys and estate administration, providing specific support to Isabel Ewing, Alison Hempsey and other solicitors within the team.
Since qualifying as a Paralegal in 2019, Laura has gained experience managing her own files (with supervision as necessary). Laura has extensive experience speaking with clients on the phone, can assist with the preparation of Wills, Power of Attorney deeds and Trust and executry administration (from beginning to end). She has experience dealing with bereaved families and friends and can assist clients in navigating the legalities of estate administration, while sensitive to the fact that they are still grieving.
Outside of work, Laura is a keen walker and swimmer. She also enjoys reading and watching football.
