Kirstie Donnelly is an Associate Solicitor in our Litigation department . She predominantly works within our Private Rented Sector/ First-tier Tribunal team, providing legal advice to landlords and letting agents. Kirstie obtained her LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Strathclyde in 2014 and completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice there the following year before commencing her traineeship with TC Young in 2016. She has worked in housing and tenancy law ever since.
With over 8 years’ experience advising clients in both the Social and Private Housing sectors, Kirstie manages a wide variety of cases and handles a range of both contentious and non- contentious housing management issues, including repossession (eviction), succession and anti-social behaviour.
In addition to advising on pre- litigation issues, Kirstie is experienced in conducting eviction proceedings in Sheriff Courts and in the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (Housing and Property Chamber). She has a thorough understanding of both procedures and is able to give clients practical advice on how each process works.
Kirstie also provides advice and representation to Property Factors and Letting Agents in connection with Code compliance and any related First-tier Tribunal proceedings. She provides advice in relation to Private Rented Sector legislation updates and can provide bespoke training on tenancy matters for letting agents.
Away from the office, Kirstie can be found in the gym, trying out a new brunch spot or planning her next city break.
