Isabel Ewing

As head of our Private Client team  Isabel Ewing has been integral to the growth of the firm’s private client services to place TC Young at the forefront of the delivery of cost effective quality legal services for individuals and families in Scotland with three key areas of expertise:

 

PROPERTY: Isabel advises on high value and complex residential and commercial property purchases and sales, development land transactions and rural issues and with her farming background takes a special interest in farming and rural matters.  

 

WILLS ,TRUSTS &  EXECUTRIES: Isabel is involved in all aspects of the preparation of wills and powers of attorney, the setting up, administering of and termination of trusts (including charitable trusts). She has extensive knowledge and expertise in advising families in relation to issues of succession, inheritance tax planning and the management of individual and family assets, partnerships and small businesses and the winding up of complex estates. 

 

POWERS OF ATTORNEY, GUARDIANSHIPS AND INCAPACITY MATTERS: Isabel and her team provide specialist advice to individuals, families, care providers (including local authorities), health professionals and other solicitors on mental health and adults with incapacity issues – we are considered one of Scotland’s leading firms in this field.

 

Having a reputation as an approachable, ‘no nonsense’, and skilled solicitor, Isabel works rigorously and robustly in the best interests of her clients. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Executry Practitioners (STEP). In addition she holds a number of trustee appointments and roles within charitable organisations. Isabel is based in our Glasgow office.
