As part of our ongoing growth, TC Young is delighted to announce the promotion Neil Matheson to the position of Partner.
Neil joined the firm as a Trainee in 2015, initially working within the firms housing litigation team, focussing on landlord & tenant disputes, including repossessions and anti-social behaviour.
Upon qualifying in 2017, Neil joined the Dispute Resolution team, which has flourished under his stewardship, leading to his promotion to Senior Associate in 2023. The department has continued to thrive, becoming one of the firm’s fastest-growing areas.
He has vast experience in civil litigation matters at both Sheriff Court and Court of Session level and is regularly instructed and trusted by other Solicitors in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK to act as Court of Session agent in complex litigation matters.
Neil was recognised for his expertise in his field recently being named Associate Solicitor of the year at the Scottish Professional Awards in 2024.
